Create New Audit

In preparation for the next stock period, the Create New Audit button will generate a new audit database.

You then need to assign the appropriate dates for the audit period and to move the closing stocks for the previous audit to the opening stocks for this audit.

The Start Date will have been automatically set to the day after the last audit's End Date.

If you know the End Date for the new audit period type it in. If not, leave the default End Date as shown and you can change it later. The default End Date will be today's date.

The Audit Date will default to the day after the End Date. If the stocktake is going to be done on a different date, you can change it here.

The Standard type of audit means that the closing stocks will be moved to the opening stocks and everything else will be zeroed.

The Start of Year type of audit means that the new audit will be recognised as the first audit this year when you run the historical reports.

To complete the function, click on the Transfer Closing Stocks button.
