Sizes

The Sizes table contains the definitions of how products are purchased, counted and sold.

  • You can have up to 250 size definitions.

  • The Code must be a number between 1 and 250

  • The Short Description is what will appear on the reports. It can be up to 4 characters.

  • The Long Description is included for greater detail. It will appear in the drop-down boxes on the Products screen and other places.

  • The Count defines how you will count a product.
If the Count is set to 1 (e.g. for a bottle of spirits) you will be able to specify fractions of a bottle (e.g. 0.7).
If the Count is set to more than 1, (e.g. 12 for bottles of beer) you will be able to count in dozens and bottles (e.g. 4 dozen and 3 bottles).

  • The Units Of Measure defines how many drinks you will get from a product.
For spirits etc. this will be the number of tots in a bottle. For bottled beer, it will be the number of bottles in a dozen, i.e. 12.

  • The Barrellage column allows you to define a factor for conversion. Typically, beer will be converted into 36-gallon barrels and spirits into gallons.
