Use the Recipes screen to add and amend menu dishes.Click on the New Recipe button and you will be prompted for a recipe Code - each recipe needs a unique code. Then you'll have a prompt for the recipe name/description. Once that's supplied, you can start adding the extra details and ingredients to the recipe. The Unit box could be used to reflect the size of meal, e.g. 'Child' portion, or it could show the type of dish, e.g. 'Main' course. The PLU Number should be the number programmed into the till for the dish. The Price should be the amount (inclusive of VAT) that is charged. In the Code box for each product, press the '/' key, or prefix it with part of a description of a product, e.g. 'beef/'. The product search list will be displayed showing all products, or all products that match the prefix. Select the product you want using the mouse or up/down arrow keys and then press Enter. The product details will now be shown and you can enter the amount of that product that is used in the recipe. The figure you enter depends on how the product is defined. So if it's defined in Kg, and the recipe requires 50gm, you would need to enter '0.05'.

The Import Recipes button will allow you to bring in recipes that are already setup in another outlet. You must have consistent product codes between outlets for this to work effectively.
