This procedure should be used after the Psion has lost all power - main batteries and backup battery.

Switch the Psion on by pressing On/Esc key |
The Start-up screen will be shown. |

Press <Psion>-S |
To display the System screen. You will see program icons for Data, Calc, etc. |

Press <Psion>-L Press ® Press ¯ Press ® a number of times Press ¯ Press ¬ twice Press <Enter> |
To start the remote communications link To change the remote link to 'On' To move down to the Baud Rate To change the baud rate to 115200 To move down to the Port To change the Port to 'A' To finish setting the communications link |

Run StockManager on the computer Select an outlet (any one will do) Click on Stocktaking Operations Click on StockMate Click on Link To StockMate Click on Download Programs Type in the number of the Psion |
Connect the Psion to the computer with the supplied cable.
This is only necessary if the computer is configured for 2 or more Psions. The programs will now be copied from the computer to the Psion. |

On the Psion, press <Psion>-I Press ® Press <Enter> |
To install the Stocks icon on the screen Until you find Hh.app The Stocks icon will now be visible |

On the Psion, press <Psion>-I Press ® Press <Enter> |
To install the Stocks+ icon on the screen Until you find Hhs.app The Stocks+ icon will now be visible |

For Food programs Select a food outlet (any one will do) Click on Stocktaking Operations Click on Food Click on StockMate Click on Link To StockMate Click on Download Programs Type in the number of the Psion |

To install the Food icon on the screen Until you find Hhf.app The Food icon will now be visible |
The Psion is now ready to receive products data for liquor and/or food and for you to start counting.
